Edrisa Lubega came off the bench to score a late equalizer for Paide Linnameeskond who unfortunately lost in the post match penalty shoot out to JK Vilandji Tulevik in the Estonia Cup round of 16 encounter on Wednesday.

Lubega replaced Deabeas Owusu in the 77th minute while trailing 2-1 before scoring the long awaited equaliser two minutes to normal time.

Nikita Komissarov (27′) and Kaimar Saag (44′) scored for JK Viljandi Tulevik while Edgar Tur was target for the home side in the 29th minute.

Lubega and Kevin Kauber were the only Paide Linnameeskond players who scored their penalties in the decisive shoot out which ended 3-2 in favour of the visiting team.

Lubega has managed to score a total of nine goals in the four games he has played in this year’s Estonia Cup. He has also scored 13 goals in the league.

The Proline on-loan forward is part of the Uganda Cranes squad that is expected to take on South Sudan in the AFCON Qualifiers double header.

Paide Linnameeskond will shift focus to the league where they will host Trans Narva on Sunday 8th November at the Paide Linnastadion.
