The Uganda Boxing Federation donated food relief on Tuesday to National team (Bombers), 12 coaches, 2 medical doctors, 5 support staff and team manager.
The beneficiaries received 10 Kg of posho, 10 kg of rice and 10 kg of beans each to enable them pass through the deadly COVID-19 lockdown.
“We know many people are not earning during this COVID-19 turmoil. We have decided to offer food to our boxers and coaches to enable them pass through this terrible situation.” Stated Moses Muhangi the UBF president.
In March, the Federation first offered soap, sanitizers to the Bombers.
For starters, UBF suspended the Intermediate boxing championship that were scheduled for 21st to 29th March at Buganda road playgrounds as a precaution to avoid contradicting and spreading COVID-19 pandemic.
