Both games were played with no spectators as one of the preventive measures to stop the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

Just like many nations on the continent, Somalia had halted all sporting activities on March 18th due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

As the Somalia Football Federation hopes for a successful completion of the league that has six rounds left, all teams have been cautioned on observing the required preventive measures that include the use of sanitizers, social distancing and no handshakes.

Horseed SC are leading the league log with 25 points in 12 games played. Mogadishu City Club are second with 24 points while Elman SC and Dekedah FC follow next with 21 points each.

Former SC Villa and Sadolin Paints striker Victor Emenayo who turns out for Jazeera FC, is in contention for this season’s golden boot having scored 9 goals, one behind Mogadishu City Club’s duo of Faysal Hashi and Abdikadir Enow.

Burundi and Tanzania are other African leagues that have so far resumed after a forced break of COVID-19.
