The contention for the four Fufa Big League promotion slots has been left for only 16 clubs from the eight Fufa Regional Leagues.
The 16 were confirmed in a press briefing at Fufa House as the Fufa President Eng. Moses Magogo announced the fate of various Fufa competitions due to the prolonged pandemic break.
The various clubs were determined by Article 18 of the Fufa competition rules that addresses the failure to complete the due to unavoidable circumstances.
The 16 teams will play against each other at regional level where the eventual winners will face off to determine the final four teams that will ultimately compete in the 2020/21 Fufa Big League season.
For instance, two teams from Eastern Regional League will lock horns in a playoff whereby the eventual winning team will face another from the North Eastern Regional League.
Buganda Regional winners will face off with opponents from Kampala, The Western Regional League winners are destined to play against winners from Kitara Region which will be the same case for the West Nile against Northern Region.
The teams will face off as follows;

Edgars FC (Cobra Group) Vs CATDA FC (Scorpion Group)
Admin FC (Bukedi Group) Vs Gaddaffi FC (Nile Group)
North Eastern Region
Sansiro FC (Bisina Group) Vs Team Church FC (Kyoga Group)
Northern Gateway FC (Group A) Vs Young Elephant FC (Group B)
Springs FC (Nyagak Group) Vs Calvary FC (Nile Group)
Asingya FC (Edward Group) Vs Booma FC (Albert Group)
Terrazzo and Tiles FC (Ankole Group) Vs Kigezi FC (Kigezi Group)
The games are expected to be played before the next season starts. It should also be noted that there will be no relegation across all the regional leagues.
