The cranes get a feel of the stadium ahead of tomorrow’s game

The Uganda Cranes conducted their final training session at the Stade Kigali de Nyamirambo in the evening hours of the day.

Basena took his charges through some light drills, warms and pitch feeling exercises but were later disturbed by a rare heavy down pour that fell on the city of Kigali. They had earlier persisted and continued their training in it but they later gave in as the rainfall became more severe.

Shortly after 5 minutes the rain stopped and Basena called the boys back to business. This time it was a more tense segment and the final one from where he set off to address the press. He said,

” I must thank the press and the Ferwafa for giving us a Good hospitality. We hope the rains that fell today will be a blessing in disguise

“We hope to give a good account of ourselves tomorrow and complete the job and we don’t expect to be affected by the weather since its also raining in Kampala “.

“We are not under any pressure, we are going to play our game. We are starting from zero and giving a lot respect to our opponents since they are such a good team.”

The cranes will take on Amavubi tomorrow at the Stade Kigali de Nyamirambo and the aggregate winner will qualify from the tournament in Kenya early next year.
