The Confederation of African Football has confirmed the new dates for the African Nations Championship (CHAN 2020).
The Championship which was initially scheduled for April 4th to 25th, 2020 and postponed due to the deadly global coronavirus pandemic will now take place from January 16th to February 7, 2021.
Cameroon are the hosts of the competition which will take place in the cities of Yaoundé, Douala and Limbe.

CAF has also decided to postpone the Final 2022 CHAN tournament that will be stage in Algeria to January 2023.
Uganda who missed on the inaugural championship in 2009 which was hosted in Ivory Coast will be taking part in their fifth tournament. The Cranes have previously featured in the 2011(Sudan), 2014 (South Africa), 2016 (Rwanda) and 2018 (Morocco).

Group A : Cameroon, Zimbabwe, Mali, Burkina Faso
Group B : Libya, Niger, DR Congo, Congo
Group C: Morocco, Rwanda, Uganda, Togo
Group D : Zambia, Tanzania, Guinea, Namibia
