The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) has postponed the edition of the Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) to be held in Cameroon from 2021 to 2022.

The postponement has been as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic which has hit the globe and led to cancellation and postponement of many football activities.

It was confirmed by the CAF Executive online meeting which has been held today Tuesday 30th June 2020.

The Championship of African Nations (CHAN) which was initially slated for April 2020 has been rescheduled for January 2021.
