Vipers SC will entertain four time CAF Confederations cup champions Club Sportif Sfaxien at St. Mary’s Stadium, Kitende in the final preliminary round contest.

The Kitende outfit dropped to this competition following it’s exit from the CAF Champions league courtesy of CS Constantine defeat. The Tunisian giants eliminated Zambian side Green Buffaloes on aggregate 4-2 to reach this stage.

The Venoms are taking part in this competition for a second time and Rudolf Jozef Krol coached side who are habitual winners, having previously won it in 1998,2007,2008 and 2013.

Vipers come into this contest after sailing 3-0 past Onduparaka in their previous league game courtesy of Geoffrey Wasswa, Dan Sserunkuma and Livingston Mulondo goals.

This will be the toughest task for Venoms caretaker coach Michael Nam Ouma and his assistant Edward Golola. They will be facing a side managed by former Netherlands player Rudolf Jozef Krol who is well equipped with experience and knowledge about African football.

The hosts have no injury concerns ahead of this encounter and will look up to Dan Sserunkuma, Geoffrey Wasswa and custodian Fabien Mutombora to inspire them to dreamland.

Juventus El Arab will be without danger man Alaeddine Marzouki who scored a brace against Green Buffaloes through suspension. Firas Chaouat and Hani Amamou are expected to provide the needed magic to negotiate the Kitende outfit.

At the end of the day will Rudolf Jozef Krol’s experience take the day or the Venoms will use their exuberance to get a first leg advantage.
