CAF CC : KCCA FC fall to Otoho in Congo Brazzaville

KCCA FC have suffered a 3-0 defeat at the hands of Congo Brazzaville side AS Otoho in the CAF Confederations Cup contest played at Omni Sport Marien Ngoubi Stadium in Owando.

Benin Referee Adissa Abdul Raphiou awarded the home side a penalty in the 20th minute. Musa Yedan was given the responsibility and comfortably fired Otoho into the lead from the spot.

Two minutes later, Musa beat Charles Lukwago to complete his brace and the second for his side.

In the 27th minute, Julius Poloto had a chance to find a consolation for the visitors but his effort was saved by custodian Mohikola. At the break, Mike Mutebi’s side were trailing 2-0 courtesy of a Musa Yedan brace.

Early into the second half, KCCA FC introduced on Allan Kyambadde for Mike Mutyaba and Muzamir Mutyaba for Lawrence Bukenya.

In the 64 minute, the home side suffered a blow when their hero on the day Musa Yedan got injured and was replaced with Alou Bagayoko.

With only 18 minutes to normal time, the hosts brought on Kikasa Wamba for Arci Muvanga . Moments later after coming on, Wamba put the cherry on the icing of the cake with the third goal for the Congolese side.

With the clock ticking, Patrick Kaddu had a chance to cut the deficit but the forward missed from close range.

KCCA FC duo of Mike Mutyaba and Gift Ali was cautioned while Mandala Monte was the only booked player on the hosts side.

KCCA FC will need to score four goals without conceding in the return leg slated for Saturday 19th January to prevail to the group stages.
