Paradou AC humbled KCCA FC to a 4-1 thrashing in the second leg of the CAF Confederation Cup second preliminary round at the Stade 5 Juillet Stadium, Algeria on Sunday evening.

The Algerians progressed to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup by the same score on aggregate after a goalless first leg draw at StarTimes Stadium.

KCCA FC were not just beaten by the most significant performance, they were torn apart. The hosts goals came from Salaheddine Herrari, Yousri Bouzok, Abdelkahar Kadri and Aimen Bouguerra while Allan Okello scored the visitors only goal.

Mike Mutebi’s side lacked punch in attack, were sloppy in midfield and chaotic at the back.

Herrari fired the home side into an early lead in the 7th minute of the contest tapping in a quality Abdelkader Ghorab cross.

On the 23rd minute mark, Okello restored parity with a low shot from the right.

In the 37th minute, the Algerians were awarded a penalty after Mustafa Kizza foul inside the forbidden area. Bouzok was entrusted with the responsibility and he calmly converted from the spot.

Kadri extended Paradou’s advantage in the 65th minute to send the home fans into a frenzy.

Bouguerra put the icing on the cherry of the cake with a magnificent free kick from 35yards that left KCCA FC custodian and skipper Charles Lukwago helpless.

Paradou A.C held on their 4-1 win and qualify for the CAF Confederation group stages while KCCA FC’s continental adventure came to an end.

Earlier on, Uganda’s other representatives Proline FC crashed out of the competition following a 4-2 aggregate defeat to Libyan side Al Nasr.
