Top Boy Promotions director Philip Munaabi has blasted Step by Step promotions for a poorly organised event on Boxing day at Laponye Hotel that ended in the wee hours.

The major fight which took place late in the night was won by Kabona Meddie who defeated Badru Lusambya on a technical knockout.

In an interview with Swift Sports Uganda, Munaabi stated that they as Promoter should start giving the fans events that will leave a legacy.

It is high time we as promoters started giving our viewers events that will leave a legacy. At this time we need to increase our audience if we are to break even. Why would you have an even running till day, we know that people have to work the next day

Munaabi was also disappointed with the many fights that were organised on the day and was also disappointed when the promoters didn’t give a clear reason on why Golola and Kasumali did not fight.

“In the modern day, you cannot organise an event that has over 18 to 20 fights, this is fake and I can’t organise such things. This affects our sports and if we are to move forward we should stop such. I was also disappointed when the promoters didn’t have a clear reason on why Golola and Kasumali did not fight on the day.”

Munaabi also promised the fans to see the best organization of fights next year. His promotion company are currently in the final stages regarding the fight between Zebra Ssenyange “Mando” and Haruna Diba ” Bana Bana”.
