BIG LEAGUE: Proline run riot, Wakiso Giants maintain six-point lead

Table leaders Proline FC and Wakiso Giants maintained their lead in the Rwenzori and Elgon pool respectively.

Proline drubbed Kira United 5-0 at the StarTimes stadium, Lugogo to stretch their tally to 33 points from 15 games.

Hakim Kiwanuka scored a quick brace before skipper Noordin Bunjo made it 3-0 while heading into the mandatory halftime break.

Bright Anukani made it 4-0 moments into the second period before Ivan Bogere put the icing on the cake with his ninth goal of the season.

In the top of Elgon table clash at Bugembe stadium, Wakiso Giants and Kyetume played out a goalless draw.

Second placed Kyetume have accumulated 27 points and are now level on points with third placed Doves All Stars who picked a hard drilled 2-1 over JMC Hippos in Jinja.

The second tier league will resume on Saturday with Kitara locking horns with rivals Kiboga Young at the Kigaya grounds in Hoima.
