Uganda Cranes defender Bevis Mugabi put up a brilliant performance as Motherwell FC beat Aberdeen 3-0 in the Scottish Premiership on Sunday.
Mugabi scored the club’s third goal of the game with a header from Liam Polwoth’s corner kick in the 22nd minute and ensured his side kept a clean sheet as well.
The lanky center back expressed his delight after an excellent display,
“Today was a brilliant result for us. It was nice to get my first goal for the club and start climbing higher on the table,”
Mugabi said after the game.

Mark O’Hara put Motherwell in an early lead with a penalty after Marley Watkins handled Mugabi’s header in the 4th minute before Christopher Long made it 2-0 four minutes later.
The comprehensive victory was Motherwell’s second of the season in the league having won their previous one 1-0 against St. Johnstone.
Motherwell now lie 8th on the table of 12 teams with eight points accumulated from eight games. They have four defeats and two draws as well.
It should be noted that Mugabi was sent off during the club’s Europa League qualification game against Coleraine FC in Northern Ireland on Thursday.
He will miss the club’s Round three qualification game against Hapoel Beer Sheva on Thursday 24th September in Israel.
Motherwell will face Steven Gerrard’s coached Rangers FC in their next league game on Sunday 27th September at the Fir Park in Motherwell.
