Basena and Kajoba commence Cranes training

Newly appointed cranes interim coaches Moses Basena and Fred Kajoba yesterday began preparing the team for the CHAN qualifier first leg match against Rwanda.

14 players out of the 25 summoned were present yet the Vipers contingent of Ismael Watenga, Nicholas Wadada, Milton Karisa, Erisa Ssekisambu, Frank Tumwesigye, Moses Waiswa, Masiko Tom, and Deus Bukenya yet to report due to their engagement in a preparations season match verses Mbarara city FC. Goal keeper Tom Ikara and Isaac Muleme were also missing.

Training kicked off at 4:00pm at Mandela National stadium Nambole and it included ball mantainance and keeping the ball under minimal spaces which took place for 2 hours.


“However much Rwanda is also a competitive side we are ready to face it off with the players ambition shown.”

The program will run as follows,

Training at Namboole
2nd -5th August 4:00pm

Rest day
6th August

Training at St Mary’s Stadium
7th-11th August.

Match day Uganda cranes versus Rwanda 12th August.
