Goals from Allan Okello and Timothy Awany in each half were enough for an efficient KCCA side to sink Onduparaka in Arua.
KCCA became the second club to defeat Onduparaka FC at the Greenlight Stadium in Arua after SC Villa last season.
Youngster Allan Okello haunted the caterpillars as early as the 6th minute when he nodded home a well delivered Mustafa Kizza set piece.
Onduparaka initiated intent of leveling matters through the attacking trio of Nicholas Kagaba, Amis Muwonge and the dazzling Viane Sekajugo but unfortunately they were unsuccessful.
Come into the second half, Allan Kyambadde and Sadam Juma came on for Jackson Nunda and debutant Nicholas Kasozi who had a decent evening.
Asaph Mwebaze retaliated by throwing on Ceaser Okhuti and Kabon Living for Nicholas Kagaba and Solomon Okwalinga to try surge for an equaliser.
In the 63rd minute, Timothy Awany extended the lead volleying home from close range off a Filbert Obenchan header with Nicholas Sebwato off his line.
5 minutes later, Ezra Bida also replaced Amis Muwonge.
Denis Okot and Mustafa Kizza were involved in a bitter exchange after the former stamped Allan Okello without the ball in his custody. The duo was lucky to walk away with a yellow card each.
On the other end of pitch, Charles Lukwago made a superb save to deny Sekajugo from 10 yards after being fed by Okhuti.
