Arua Hill Sports Club have unveiled a five year strategic plan with a primary target of attaining promotion to the Uganda Premier League in 2023.
The development was confirmed by the club chairman Aita Joel during a press conference held in Kampala on Monday.
“We want to stabilize our club and set new systems in place during the first two years. In the second year as well, we are aiming at attaining topflight promotion.”
We are to also engage with countries like Italy, Israel, United Kingdom, France to exchange ideals and also learn from them.” There’s a lot of talent in the West Nile and so we plan to have a strong academy.
In years to come, we to get funds from selling players abroad and I believe through this will be possible with through partnerships with the International teams.”
“We are to leave some businesses of development infrastructure to sustain the club.”
The club intends to have a women football club and also plans to sale shares to the community.
The CEO also hailed Onduparaka for promoting football in West Nile and believes they are to compliment to what has been done by their neighbours
“We respect Onduparaka for what they have done in promoting football in West Nile and we are to build a strong partnership with them for the development of football in the region.”
At the same function, the club also unveiled former Onduparaka officials Anthony Afeti and Vegas Otelul as new CEO and Public Relations Officer respectively.
They also announced their shirt sponsors Development Infrastructure who gave the club a package of Shs100M to extend support towards the 2020/21.
Added to that, they also launched their new slogan which is “Together We Are Kongolo.”
Arua Hill Sports Club will host their home games at Barifa stadium during the 2020/21 season until their 20,000 capacity stadium is completed. The construction is also funded by Development infrastructure.
Formerly known as Dove All Stars, the club finished sixth in Elgon Group of the 2019/20 FUFA Big League season.
