Hassan Abdinur Xasaasi’s brace and Farhan Mohammed’s goals is all what Alex Isabirye’s side Horseed FC needed to edge Dekedda FC in The Dauda Cup in Somalia.
Isabirye appreciated the players for the team work and fighting spirit displayed which saw them emerge victorious,
“It has not been an easy task for us since I have spent little time with the team but through hardwork and determination we have managed to make it through.”
On what next ahead of the CAF Confederation Cup where Horseed FC will be representing Somalia, Isabirye is confident they have all it takes to compete,
“There are some departments which need to improve especially the mid field and defence and I am going to talk to my bosses I believe we shall see how to improve.”
“It is a big task ahead of us but I believe we have the capacity to make it through.” Isabirye added.
He is a former tactician at Kyetume FC and has previously worked with URA FC, Nyamityobora FC, BUL FC, Kirinya Jinja SS now Busoga United, Soana FC now Tooro United and defunct SC Victoria University.
Isabirye is also remembered for guiding Buganda province to the innagural FUFA Drum tournament championship in 2018 and winning the Uganda Premier League title with Uganda Revenue Authority Football Club in 2011.
