Africa Cricket Academy Delegation on a three day visit to Uganda

The Africa Cricket Academy delegation is on a three day working visit to Uganda on a fact finding mission.

The intention for the group is find a home for a World Class Cricket Academy on the continent and Uganda is a destination of interest.

The other purpose is to look at the quality of cricket playing facilities in Uganda inorder to raise them to High Performance Standard.

The party is led by Former Zimbabwe Coach Stephen Mangongo together with Amos Maunga.

The team arrived in Uganda this afternoon and had a quick chat with NCS officials in Lugogo this evening.

They will travel to Jinja tomorrow to visit the cricket playing schools of Busoga College Mwiri and Jinja SSS.

They will also visit the Naguru ghetto that has produced some of the finest cricket talent and also have a training session with the national team on Saturday.

The UCA board will host them to a dinner on Saturday evening before leaving the country on Sunday.

Day 1.
•Arrival in Uganda
•Visit to NCS

Day 2.
•Visit to Jinja SSS and Busoga College Mwiri.

Day 3.
•Training with National Team – 10am to 12pm
•Visit to Naguru
•Dinner with UCA board.
